Could EG Black do better than the first team at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown?
Evil Geniuses has made some changes to its lineup for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Showdown event. Rumors suggest that instead of fielding their main squad, they will use EG Black, for the competition.
This decision comes after the EG first team faces pressure to make a roster change. EG Black has also recently competed in the ESL Challenger League and the ESL Challenger Melbourne qualifier, where they used HexT in place of stanislaw. These changes have led to speculation that EG is using the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown as a development opportunity for their academy squad to let them play some matches and feel so they can get used to the level and playstyle. It could give the academy team valuable experience and help them develop as players.
