About Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniuses or just EG is a North American based esports organization competing in a vast number of different games. EG is founded in 1999 and is one of the oldest and most prominent organizations in the world. From 2012-2019 did the organization not have a Counter-Strike team, but after a 7-year absence, they decided it was time to make their entry into CS:GO.
On the 26th of September in 2019, Evil Geniuses acquired the entire NRG Esports roster consisting of stanislaw, tarik, Ethan, CeRq and Brehze. EG received wit this acquisition a strong mind in stanislaw, a fearless AWP’er in CeRq and three powerful rifflers to contribute. A young and powerful group of players who already had shown individual quality but most importantly shown that they can play as a team.
EG’s and their new roster had success from the very start by winning the first event that they participated in being the win over a strong Astralis in ESL One New York 2019. A statement that demonstrates this huge potential this young roster has. Just one month after their victory in New York, came their biggest current triumph by winning the trophy and $250.000 price reward against Fnatic in StarSeries & i-League Season 8 in Belek, Turkey.
