On the day of the announcement of Washington, D.C. as the host for the BLAST Spring Finals, two of the nation's teams were eliminated from the Group Stage event.
One of them was unavoidable as Complexity and Evil Geniuses faced each other. Despite some positive signs for EG during the event, it was Complexity who ended out on top in the NA duel winning 2-1. Michael 'Grim' Wince played three very impressive maps for Complexity and was clearly the best player on the server. Complexity plays later tonight against NAVI. The winner will advance to the Spring Finals.
Unfortunately for NA, Complexity is the only remaining team left from the Americas. The World Finals runners-up, Team Liquid also had the chance to qualify, but that dream quickly ended at the hands of BIG. The German team almost humiliated Team Liquid winning 16-2, 16-8.
BIG face Heroic tomorrow for a spot in the Spring Finals.
