Evil Geniuses came out empty-handed as they fell short against TeamOne in a crucial fight for a spot at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Americas RMR, where EG ended up being eliminated.

The world's number #22 on the HLTV World Ranking list is out this year's first Major which will be held in Paris. The North American team led by Vorborg stated their frustration on Twitter following their loss against a weaker opponent in TeamOne. Evil Geniuses' head coach Daniel Vorborg touches on the tough loss here.

- This is the lowest point in my career, and I'm incredibly sorry to all the EG fans As the head coach, the responsibility falls on me to make the team perform, and I have been unable to - it's simply not good enough Tomorrow we travel to EPL for a shot at redemption, coach Vorborg stated on Twitter.

Evil Geniuses will look for their redemption in ESL Pro League season 17. The North American roster is set to face Cloud9 in their opening match at the event.
