Astralis and EG among invitees for CCT North Europe Series 3
The CCT North Europe Series invitees have been published.
CCT North Europe Series 3 is rolling with the group stage being set and over. The tournament reached playoffs after one week with competition and qualifying. Among the teams headlining the invites are two top organizations that both are to be found inside the HLTV top 30 list, the Danes from Astralis and the North American team Evil Geniuses who just got kicked out of IEM Katowice 2023 after they lost to Sprout. These two teams come into the North Europe Series 3 as the clear favorites to take the title and claim $50,000 in first-price earnings.
Astralis takes on the Swedish team EYEBALLERS in their first match of the tournament tomorrow at 16:00 (CET). The Swedish team is currently ranked #60 on the HLTV world ranking list and is featured some legendary names such as the two former Major winners Jesper "JW" Wecksell and Robin "flusha" Rönnquist.
Evil Geniuses will face Illuminar in their opening match tomorrow at 13:00 (CET). The polish roster is ranked #54 on the HLTV world ranking list. Despite their recent success and their six-match winning streak, Illuminar has in recent months struggled to find success in minor tournaments like these.
