EG coach Vorborg on NA practice conditions: It’s mind-blowing to me
Bootcamping in Europe seems to be the only way for NA teams to get efficient and consistent practice nowadays.
It’s fair to say that North American Counter-Strike isn’t peaking at this very moment. In fact, one could argue that the previous years have been some of the worst for the otherwise proud region.
During this period, NA teams and players have lost valuable ground compared to Europe/CIS where CS:GO seems to thrive massively.
One of the reasons for the significant decline could be the lack of good and useful practice and scrimmage for North American teams. Something, multiple individuals inside the scene have pointed towards before. Now Evil Geniuses’ head coach, Daniel “vorborg” Vorborg has touched on the matter on Twitter, stating that Evil Geniuses got 5/8 practice cancelled between Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Getting the practice, we want in NA is definitely harder One thing is there are fewer good teams, but that is what it is. But in such a short time, the amount of issues we've had with teams cancelling practices etc. is mindblowing to me.
EliGE offer his take
In February this year, the North American icon from Liquid Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonkowski said the following about practising in NA.
- I think the biggest thing is, that we need to make sure, that we are playing and practicing more in NA. If we don't have all the strongest teams there, the entire region is going to suffer from it.
