Evil Geniuses has produced a great start at the event beating one of the favorites to win the whole event, Astralis.

The American organization should not be underrated, they have been performing at a high level against some of the best teams in the world for quite some time.
Last month they beat Gambit 2-0, in the IEM Katowice 2021, Gambit who has been the best team at this event so far and seems impossible to beat.

If they can manage to win today, then they will be able to secure the spot in the playoffs all by themselves.
Their direct opponents will probably be Liquid, Astralis, and Virtus.pro
