Virtus.pro ready for Dallas - Heroic and Metizport set to fight for last ticket
In the online qualifier for IEM Dallas, Virtus.pro went flawlessly through the upper bracket to secure a spot at the US event.
Dzhami "Jame" Ali and the rest of the Virtus.pro team are on a hot streak before the start of the Copenhagen Major. With six victories in a row the CIS team has gotten the perfect preparation for the Major, where they are looking to repeat their last Major run, where they went all the way in the 2022 Rio Major.
At the IEM Dallas qualifier, VP won all their three matches against B8, Apeks, and Heroic. In a closely fought match against Heroic, it was Petr 'fame' Bolyshev and Evgenii 'FL1T' Lebedev that paved the way for a victory. The two Russian riflers have been among the highest-rated performers of 2024, and have played a key part in VP’s qualifying runs at BLAST Spring Groups, PGL Copenhagen RMR, and the IEM Dallas qualifier. The only let-down of 2024 has been Virtus.pro’s early exit at IEM Katowice, where Cloud9 and GamerLegion eliminated Dzhami "Jame" Ali’s troops.
Today Heroic and Metizport will enter the server to battle for the last European ticket for IEM Dallas. Metizport reached the Consolidation Final after a strong run in the lower bracket of the tournament.
