Liquid, MOUZ, Virtus.pro, and Astralis book playoff spots in China
In his second match as IGL for Astralis, Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz led his team to a monumental win against FaZe.
Four of the six playoff teams at IEM Chengdu have been found with Astralis being the last of the four to secure advancement in the tournament.
The Danes were paired with the PGL Major Copenhagen Grand Finalist in FaZe in one of the upper semi-finals in Group B. However, it did not show up on the server which team had made it to the Grand Final, and which team that did not even qualify for the Major. Astralis completely dominated FaZe on their CT side winning 16 out of 20 rounds during the match on their defense. The Danes won Ancient 13-7 before locking in their playoff spot with a solid 13-4 win on Nuke.
A very good look for Astralis, who plays their first tournament with Alexander "br0" Bro on the lineup and Casper "ruggah" Due as the head coach.
Astralis will face Virtus.pro in the group final of Group B, while Liquid and MOUZ will go head-to-head in Group A. The winner of the two group finals will advance directly to the Semi-Finals of the event.
