Reigning Major Champions knocked out of RMR
Virtus.pro will not be able to defend their title in Paris.
For the first time in history a reigning Major winning roster has failed to qualify for the next Major. Virtus.pro lost against MOUZ in one of today's elimination matches. The loss was never in doubt as MOUZ simply outplayed VP on both Mirage and Ancient.
The day had started with some drama from the Virtus.pro camp with the news of Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin being replaced by David "n0rb3r7" Daniyelyan shortly before the match. A gamble that did not pay off at all.
From the MOUZ perspective it was a very uplifting performance, but it could not overshadow the huge downfall of Virtus.pro, who will have to look from the sidelines as defending champions, when the last ever Major CS:GO tournament will be held in Paris next month.
Virtus.pro - MOUZ 0-2 | EU RMR Group A
MVP: Ádám 'torzsi' Torzsás
