Surprising Move: Virtus.pro Announces Acquisition of electroNic
Virtus.pro, the Rio Major Winners, have made a significant addition to their roster by securing Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, one of the most consistent riflers in the Counter-Strike scene.
Yesterday, in a sudden announcement, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov was unveiled as Virtus.pro's newest player.
The 25-year-old rifler joins Dzhami "Jame" Ali and his teammates following an unsuccessful period at Cloud9, where he, along with the rest of the star-studded lineup, failed to meet expectations. In his new role at Virtus.pro, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov will be taking the place of Nikolay "mir" Bityukov, who only joined the team in July 2023.
While Virtus.pro had been achieving decent results in recent months, they fell short of making the playoffs at the PGL Copenhagen Major and were eliminated in the Quarter-Finals at IEM Chengdu.
Cloud9, on the other hand, has not yet revealed who will fill the gap left by Denis "electroNic" Sharipov. Instead, they have opted to withdraw from the upcoming ESL Pro League tournament due to a shortage of players.
