Virtus.pro finish the year on a high winning ESL Challenger title
The CIS roster won ESL Challenger Atlanta.
While Team Vitality won the last S-tier tournament of the calendar year in Abu Dhabi at BLAST Premier World Finals, Virtus.pro snatched the trophy and title in Atlanta at the ESL Challenger tournament. $50,000 was at stake for the winner of the Grand Final between VP and Apeks.
A 13-5, 13-4 win for Virtus.pro saw Jame and company take a convincing victory in Atlanta with Petr 'fame' Bolyshev being named MVP of the tournament.
With the win in Atlanta, Virtus.pro ends 2023 on positive note with several deep runs at their last five tournaments including a win at the 2023 Roobet Cup. VP will finish the year in the top 10 of HLTV rankings for the third consecutive year.
At the ESL Challenger tournament it was the disappointing performance from Complexity that stole most headlines. The hope of NA failed to deliver two times against TheMongolz who knocked them out of the tournament with a devastating 2-0 win in the group phase.
