mousesports, better known as “mouz”, is an esports organization from Germany. It was founded in 2002 and has since conquered tournaments at different competitions in the esports world. The organization's biggest recognition comes from its success in Counter-Strike. mousesports has been in the game for a long time, since Counter-Strike 1.6, have they dominating the scene and are therefore well-known veterans. From 2008 to 2010 mousesports had a very successful period winning both Intel Extreme Master ll and IEM lll Global Challenge Dubai, as well as capturing another 1st place at IEM IV European Championship Finals defeating fnatic.
In 2010, mousesports lost one of their most legendary players in a horrible car accident. Antonio “cyx” Daniloski’s death was devastating, and the organization decided to retire the team. But In 2012 mousesports made a comeback to CS. After a long period away, mousesports were gone from the big scene for 7 years. They made a strong comeback winning the 1st place at ESG Mykonos in 2017 beating a tough competitor in Team Liqiud.
Next year in 2018, mousesports went on a successful journey winning 4 tournaments: StartLadder and i-League StarSeries Season 4 beating NAVI, V4 Future Sports Festival Budapest where the team dominated Virtus.pro, in ESL One New York capturing the 1st place by defeating Team Liqiud, and last 1st place in DreamHack Open Tours against Valiance.
2019 was one of the best years for mousesports, as they managed to claim several big titles and finishing 2nd on the rankings, right under the powerhouse of Astralis. The organization's biggest success in 2020 so far has been the ICE Challenge, where they won the 1st place with a prize pool of $125.000.
mousesports plan to cause trouble for other teams in the future, considering their strong reputation and results behind them.
