Gambit fall short against VP at IEM Fall CIS

Gambit has just lost their first match at the ongoing IEM Fall CIS. That became a reality today when Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov and company suffered a defeat against Virtus.pro. The two other matches which began at 14.30, ended with victories for forZe and INDE IRAE.

In the matchup against Virtus.pro, the youngsters from Gambit struggled massively on Mirage, despite being one of their strongest maps in 2021. On the other hand, Virtus.pro hit the ground running in the Bo1 battle, where the Russian bears pulled up a strong 9-6 half-time lead, owing to a solid CT-side.

In the second half Gambit came back strong, to take it the full 30 rounds and force VP into overtime. Virtus.pro still managed to secure the victory though in double overtime. The loss means that Gambit will drop down in the rankings in Group B and Virtus.pro are still rock solid in the number one spot.
