Virtus.pro youngster: This tournament is like a stepping stone for us
YEKINDAR and Virtus.pro are confident going into Flashpoint 2.
Virtus.pro has been one of the most performing teams in the last couple of months. The Russian team has climbed the rankings and been a dominating factor in the CIS region. The young and promising player Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis has been one of the key factors for VP and their success recently.
YEKINDER says in an interview with Flashpoint and Freya Spiers that Flashpoint 2 is deal-breaker for Virtus.pro. The young Latvian explains that he and the team want to prove themselves on the highest scene of CS and not just dominating the CIS scene.
”I don’t want to be bragging but the 20-game win streak that we had weren’t against tier-1 teams. Two times NAVI which were the only tier-1 team that we played. This tournament for us is like a stepping stone because this will show us how we are. We don’t know yet, but of course, we are feeling pretty confident because we had these win streaks and IEM New York that we won.”
