Virtus.pro through to semi's after hard fought win against forZe
A three-map thriller saw VP advance in the playoffs at EPIC CIS League.
A week ago forZe managed to beat Virtus.pro in the Group Stage of EPIC CIS League. Today the up-and-coming Russian roster faced much more difficulties against Jame and company.
The match started evenly on Dust2, where VP won their T-side 8-7. In the second half, there was only one team on the server, as Virtus.pro managed to win all of the eight rounds on their CT-side.
The map veto was the same as last time, which brought in Mirage as the second map. Here forZe repeated their win from last week, but this time they had to endure a very close ending to the match with the score being all tied at 14-14 before forZe made the last push for the win.
So, Inferno was once again dragged in to be the decider. At 5-5 it looked like another close map, but then Virtus.pro finally started to heat up. The two-star players, Jame and YEKINDAR had come alive, and they proved to be too strong of a cocktail for forZe, who lost 16-7 and finally destroyed their nemesis from forZe, who had won the last three encounters.
forZe will now drop down to the lower brackets, while Virtus.pro is set up for a semi-final match against Natus Vincere if they defeat Akuma later tonight.
