Virtus.pro defeat Aussies to seal a spot at IEM Katowice
YEKINDAR shined for VP and lead the Russians to vital victory at the important decider match against Renegades.
Virtus.pro are ready for the main event of IEM Katowice after the Russian Bears eased past Renegades it the decider match at the Play-in stage. They will join Liquid, Spirit, Gambit and NiP at the $1 Million event, which starts tomorrow.
Virtus.pro has been in great shape lately and the CIS team has since their massive 1st place at Flashpoint 2 in December cruised through nearly every opponent. Their high level of play helped them to rise from yesterday’s defeat to NiP and step up when it mattered the most, by giving the Australians from Renegades a devasting 2-0 defeat.
The Latvian youngster, Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis was completely unplayable in the match, as the 21-year old rifler time after time dismantled his opponents on the two maps and both on CT and T-side. YEKINDAR topped his performance by putting up a stellar 2.07 Rating on Dust2 with 25 kills in addition.
