Virtus.pro are the Flashpoint 2 champions!
YEKINDAR and company came from open qualifier to win the whole tournament beating OG 2-1 in the grand final.
Virtus.pro took their revenge from their loss against OG in the group stage with a victory on Train (16-9) and Inferno (16-12) after losing the first map on Mirage (10-16). The CIS squad went undefeated through the playoffs and has with tonight’s victory secured the biggest payout in the tournament on $500.000, but also the biggest payout in the team’s history.
The $1 million tournament is the first even Virtus.pro has won outside the CIS region ever since they signed with the organization, while OG has been denied a chance to win their first big international event for the second time in under just two months after they previously lost the grand final of IEM New York EU to FaZe in October.
Alexey “qikert” Golubev was the best performer on the server, finishing the series with a rating of 1.12, 76.8 ADR, and a 52-45 score.
OG leaves the tournament with second place and $250.000 in earnings.
