Imperial, Complexity, and Liquid knocked out of BLAST Showdown
It was a day to forget for the Americas at the BLAST qualifier.
Day 2 of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown tournament continued with European dominance. The two biggest NA teams, Complexity and Liquid, were both eliminated, while Imperial, who went 3-0 in the Americas RMR, was taken down 2-0 by Monte in a very one-sided game.
With only a few days between the RMR qualifier in Mexico and the BLAST qualifier, which is played as an online tournament from Europe, both Liquid and Complexity had a very short time to prepare for the match. In that light, it came as no surprise for the General Manager of Complexity, Graham Pitt, that the team lost to OG.
Team Liquid suffered a defeat to SAW. The Portuguese roster impressed during the match with Rafael 'arrozdoce' Wing delivering some memorable highlights. The match ended on Ancient, where SAW brutally exposed every crack in the Liquid team winning 13-4.
SAW plays again tonight, while OG and Monte are scheduled to play on Saturday in the Quarter-Finals of the tournament.
Results from Day 2 of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown:
