1.61 rating! donk is smashing the charts in 2024

Will Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut be named the best player of the year once again in 2024? The Frenchman won the award last year without any real competition. But this year might be different. Both Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and Danil "donk" Kryshkovets have started the year on such a high note, that it actually seems possible, that ZywOo’s status as the best player in the world could be challenged.
On top of the ratings sits Danil "donk" Kryshkovets. The 17-year-old Team Spirit player is flying high and have only lost one match with his team so far in 2024. An insane 1.61 rating on 12 maps against top 50 teams in the world is a staggering level to start the year on for the young prodigy, who has already been compared with the rise of Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut.
Another Russian player, who has been unstoppable in 2024 is Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. The G2 AWP’er is rated at 1.45 for 14 maps. He has the biggest positive difference for Kill-Deaths with +117 so far. The 18-year-old star player was highlighted by his teammate Nikola “NiKo” Kovač as a potential number 1 in the world, and has certainly done everything in his power to prove him right.
Despite a shaky start to 2024 for Team Vitality with six maps lost out of 14 played, Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut is still not far away from his two Russian counterparts. With an incredible 1.42 rating, ZywOo has started the year in a similar fashion as 2023. We have seen the longevity and consistency of the performances of the Frenchman, so the big question is if donk and m0NESY can follow suit.
