3 Heroic players in the top 5!
The top 5 best-performing players at Dreamhack Masters feature three Danes
If you heard that three Danes are in the top 5 of the best-performing players at a big event, such as Dreamhack Masters Spring 2021, you would probably think that at least one of these players is from Astralis. This, however, isn't the case. After Heroic defeated their fellow Danes from Astralis 2-0 it became clear as to which Danish roster is currently the best performing.
In the top 5 best-performing players, from the teams that are currently still in the event, are three Heroic players. René "TeSeS" Madsen is currently the best performing player with an impressive 1.39 rating. Joining him is Rasmus "sjuush" Beck at fourth place with a rating of 1.29 and Ismail "refrezh" Ali at fifth place with a rating of 1.26.
Joining the Danes in the top five is also Aleksandr "S1mple" Kostyliev sitting at second place with a rating of 1.36 and Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov at third place with a rating of 1.36. The 19-year-old AWP'er in "sh1ro" has been compared with "S1mple" for quite some time now. And with the two of them leading their team's respective leaderboards in their latest meeting it is clear to see why.
Despite losing to Gambit when they last met, however, it is still the Ukrainian god "S1mple" that leads the charge in the CIS region. Perhaps one day the young "sh1ro" can fill his shoes and become one of the greatest players in the world If he isn't already to be regarded as one.
