Deadline Day: Who will NAVI, Cloud9, NIP, and Heroic announce today?
No less than four teams are expected to announce new players or stand-ins for the upcoming BLAST Fall Finals today.
Another big roster shuffle is ongoing in the world of competitive Counter-Strike these days.
The teams are operating under a deadline today, where the eight teams eligible for the BLAST Fall Finals event in Copenhagen will need to submit their rosters. Currently Heroic, Cloud9, NIP, and NAVI are missing a fifth player for the event.
Cloud9 has fielded Kirill 'Boombl4' Mikhailov as a replacement for Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov at the Thunderpick World Championships, but nothing has been stated about who could be a new permanent fifth. NAVI is also missing their superstar AWPer, after Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev announced that he was taking a break from competitive Counter-Strike. Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov has been mentioned as a possible replacement.
In the Swedish camp at NIP, the departure of Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin has left a vacant spot. Max 'maxster' Jansson has filled in the gap at the Roobet Cup and Thunderpick Championship, but according to the General Manager at NIP, Björn "THREAT" Pers, the Swedish Ninjas will announce a new in-game leader soon.
Heroic will also need to find a new fifth player. The Danish team was actually two men down, but luckily for them, Casper "cadiaN" Møller has graciously accepted to play as a stand-in in Copenhagen despite his recent benching on the team.
The roster locks for the tournament will happen tonight, where we will probably learn much more about the rosters for the upcoming event. BLAST Premier Fall Final will take place from November 22nd to 26th in Copenhagen.
