Upset galore! FaZe join VP and Vitality in 0-1 bracket
Heroic stood the distance against FaZe in their opening round encounter at the Elimination Stage at PGL Copenhagen Major.
A lot of Pick’em players have been greatly disappointed after the first few matches in the Elimination Stage in Copenhagen. Earlier Vitality suffered a surprising loss against Eternal Fire, and just one hour later, it was one of the other pre-tournament favorites, FaZe, that had to leave the server with a defeat.
On Ancient it was Heroic who found momentum to start with setting themselves up for a huge start to the second part of the Copenhagen Major. In a very closely fought match, the majority Danish roster continued to impress in Copenhagen after a flawless Opening Stage with a 13-10 win against FaZe.
Complexity was paired with their colleagues from the Americas in paiN Gaming. And while it has been the South American teams that has carried the torch of the region so far in Copenhagen, it was Complexity that edged past the Brazilians. In-game leader Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt was the only paiN player able do damage throughout the match on Vertigo that ended 13-9 in favor of Complexity.
All teams will play later tonight in the second round of the Elimination Stage.
