About Natus Vincere

Natus Vincere or just NAVI is a leading and powerful Ukrainian esports organization, build around their historic CS:GO team. NAVI’s first roster featured legends as Markeloff, Zeus and Edward and good individuals Ceh9 and Starix. A roster who instituted and created a strong global hype and fanbase for the Ukrainian team. Natus Vincere which means “born to win” in Latin was something they lived up to. In their first year in 2010, NAVI won 8 tournaments, topped off by beating a strong Fnatic side to win Intel Extreme Masters IV, their first big trophy. In 2016 they acquired Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev from the NA team Liquid. Everyone knew that s1mple possessed a high potential, but it was not written that he would be so dominant and spectacular right from the get-go. He later managed to bring home several trophies to the team with even more MVP awards and is now by many considered as one of the best to ever play the game of CS:GO. NAVI had one problem though. They never managed to dethrone Astralis in the years between 2016 and 2020. Natus Vincere could not get their hands on a Major, losing out in the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and at FACEIT 2018 in London the Grand Final. The team succeeded in winning big tournaments, but they could never establish themselves as the no. 1 team in the world. In 2021 the team finally managed to climb to the very top of Counter-Strike. With the Intel Grand Slam win, they cemented their position as the best team in the world. By September the team had already won six tournaments and looked destined to make a run at the upcoming Major in Stockholm. Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev continued to impress and achieved multiple MVP awards along the way. The team had benched the longest standing member of the roster Egor "flamie" Vasilev and included the talented Ukrainian Valeriy "B1t" Vakhovskiy to the team. A move that saw NAVI reach new heights in 2021 with “B1T” being the third-best performer on the team.
