Team Vitality is ready for the semi-finals at ESL Pro League

Vitality has secured their place in the ESL Pro League semi-finals as they defeat Gambit on Inferno and Vertigo to win the second quarter-final series. ZywOo and company will face OG in the semi-finals in a tough matchup on Saturday.

The second Quarter-final tonight started with Vitality’s pick on Inferno and went very well for ZywOo and company as they winning the pistol. Vitality started things off on the right foot by quickly going up a lead on the T-side. It took a great play by Hobbit from Gambit to get their first round on the board at 1-5. The Russians struggled to make fast retakes and stabilize their defense. But Gambit was not about to let go as they managed to get the last four rounds, making it a close 7-8 lead in the favor of Vitality. A Vitality pistol victory at the start of the second half and ZyvOo's troops were right back in control, with ensuing round wins extending their lead to 7-11. Gambit was only able to add four more to their tally after the side swap. A 1v2 clutch from misutaaa slammed the doors on any hopes of a Gambit comeback, closing out the map for an 11-16 victory. ZywOo delivered a good performance and helped his team to the first match of the series with 112 ADR and 33 frags.

Gambit's map pick of Vertigo turned into a much closer affair and went back-and-forth ensued as both teams showed tenacity in their efforts. Vitality with a small advantage takes the lead 4-3. The momentum quickly flipped the other way as Gambit managed to get five rounds in a row. They were making some great rotations on the map, and Vitality struggled to stabilize their defense. The Frenchmen didn’t go down without a fight and was fighting back and closed the gap to a 7-8 lead by Gambit at halftime. A Vitality pistol victory evened the score at the start of the second half. But Gambit responded by winning the force buy and the following two rounds, enabling them to extend their lead. Gabit was leading 9-13 when Vitality came alive for a comeback and put an end to the series right after, 14-16.
