Vitality recovery after tough encounter with TheMongolz
The defending Major Champions is back to winning ways in Copenhagen.
Team Vitality won their second-round match at the Elimination Stage at PGL Major Copenhagen after a dramatic match against TheMongolz. Vitality was already feeling the pressure before the match after losing to Eternal Fire in the opening match of the event. Against TheMongolz, Vitality once again looked shaky going down 5-7 on their CT side on Nuke in the first half.
Vitality improved on their T side, but had problems shutting down TheMongolz. Shahar "flameZ" Shushan lost four 1vs1 clutches during the map, where Vitality at the end showed up to close the match off with a 13-9 win. TheMongolz is now only one loss away from elimination, while Vitality will play another best-of-one match tomorrow in the 1-1 bracket.
Here Eternal Fire will join them, as the Turkish roster lost to MOUZ, after a match where Kamil 'siuhy' Szkaradek and his troops came back from a 1-5 start to the match. MOUZ displayed an impressive T side going from 6-6 to a 12-7 lead before Eternal Fire won four straight rounds to put MOUZ under pressure to perform in the last round, which they did. A 13-11 victory for MOUZ sends them into the 2-0 bracket tomorrow, where they can qualify for the Playoffs Stage with a win.
