Team Liquid brutally knocked down to the lower bracket by Vitality
It was a one-sided affair in the first match of BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
As expected, it was not a Team Liquid team who came out firing on all cylinders at BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The internal struggles that were highlighted yesterday at the Media Day, was clearly visible on the server.
At first glance, the North Americans actually started well, but after the first couple of rounds Team Vitality took over. On Liquid's map pick, Mirage, there was never really any doubt of the result in the end. The entire Liquid roster ended the map with negative K-D scores, which underlined the big difference between the two teams. Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut had a stellar game continuing his great form from the PGL Major in Stockholm.
Nothing changed as the two teams moved on to the second map. On Dust2 it was still ZywOo who ran the show and Team Liquid who could not get anything going. An 11-4 lead at halftime was quickly converted to a dominant 16-7 win. Team Vitality looked good, but the question is on what background? Team Liquid is now set to play the loser of Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Astralis on Friday, while Vitality will face the winner tomorrow.
