shox after dismantling NIP: ZywOo just went in FPL mode honestly
It surely looked like ZywOo was on a completely different level than anyone else in the match against the Swedes.
The Frenchmen from Vitality are currently in a quite difficult and odd situation, due to half of their roster being heavily rumoured away by some credible sources. Despite playing as a “Dead Team”, Vitality has managed to play some outstanding CS lately, ending second in last week’s BLAST Premier Fall Final.
Here at IEM Winter 2021, it has been no different for Dan “apEX” Madesclaire and his troops, as they yesterday sealed a playoff spot after first MOUZ and then NIP in a crushing 2-0 victory (16-6, 16-9).
"We wanted revenge"
After the match, Vitality’s Richard “shox” Papillon took his time talking to the host for a post-match interview, where he explains how the devastating loss to NIP in their last meeting helped them motivate themselves yesterday.
- I think we wanted to take our revenge after the last time where we played them at the Major qualifier. It was definitely a hard loss especially on Inferno where they wrecked us 16-2, I think. We still had that match in our memories, so we really wanted to take our revenge, shox said.
shox could might well end up being teammates with EliGE on Liquid, if the reports of him joining the NA team are true.
Who else than ZywOo?
The highlight player of the match was once again the French superstar Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who completely took over the server – especially on Inferno. The 20-year-old AWPer ended the map with an inhuman 2.13 Rating / 29-11 K-D / 138.5 ADR score.
- Honestly on Inferno, ZywOo just went in FPL mode. He was running everywhere and was kicking a lot of asses. But overall, in the series, I just think everyone was hitting their shots, we had good communication, and we were never surprised about what NIP was doing, shox stated.
