About Ninjas in Pyjamas

Ninjas in Pyjamas or NiP is a world-leading esports organization founded in 2000 in Sweden. After 20 years in the game, they are considered as one the forerunners in esports especially in the Counter-Strike world. Ninjas in Pyjamas has since the beginning of CS:GO been a dominant and important part of the game. NiP has through its lifetime won numerous titles and honors and is undoubtedly one of the greatest teams in the history of CS:GO. NiP announced in 2012 upon the launch of CS:GO that they after a 5-year absence again will hold a Counter-Strike team. Their first roster consisted of GeT_RiGhT, friberg, f0rest, Xizt and Fifflaren, which from the very beginning showed great dominance. This exact NiP side managed to put up an extraordinary run by reaching every final in the first five majors, resulting in four second places and one gold medal. Besides attending five majors back-to-back, did NiP also accomplish to win 87 maps in a row on LAN, a completely exceptional accomplishment. Two achievements that stand as a symbol for the team and are something that most likely never will be matched. Ninjas in Pyjamas concluded an era in 2019-2020 when they decided to transfer the two remaining players from their heyday namely f0rest and GeT_RiGhT to Dignitas. A generational shift was needed and with a new roster anno 2020 containing young promising talents like nawwk, REZ and Plopski, the future of NiP looks promising once again.
