Pimp on Dupreeh and Magisk: Are we at a point where they need to take a step down?
The renowned analyst questions the former Astralis duo and their impact on Vitality.
It’s fair to say that Vitality’s French-Danish lineup hasn’t lived up to the huge expectations so far this year. The addition of Emil “Magisk” Reif, Peter “Dupreeh” Rasmussen, and Danny “zonic” Sørensen have not transformed the team into a title-winning team, not even a title-contender.
That was also something, the CS:GO expert and analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneche discussed with the HLTV Confirmed squad in their latest episode. Here Pimp questioned whether the likes of Dupreeh and Magisk still have what it takes.
I can’t help to think, at least from a Danish perspective, when I look at players like Dupreeh, Xyp9x, Magisk that we’re getting to a point where they have been average for a year or two, even though you used to be star player, and is there any way of coming back from that? Are they going to be good enough?
When I watch Vitality play, sure there are some communication errors, sure you can see that the synergy between the player is far from what it’s supposed to be. But if you want to add up to that, you add individual firepower. And Magisk and Dupreeh haven’t really shown me that individual firepower whatsoever in their time at Vitality. So, are we at a point where we need to accept that these players needs to take a step down?
