Florian “syrsoN” Rische was first introduced to Counter-Strike by his brother when he was just about 10 years old. His love and interest to the game started to grow over time, playing Counter-Strike Source before making the switch to CS:GO where he reached the highest national competition shortly after the game’s release.

“When I was 16 I competed in the highest German League nowadays called ESL Meisterschaft. At that moment I got my first salary and I was like ‘Wow, what is going on?’, but I didn’t play so much because of school. It was only in 2017 that I started to take it fully seriously because I went into it full time.” BIG’s AWPer told in an interview with HLTV.org.

Since then, a lot has changed for syrsoN who has become one of the most lethal snipers the game has ever seen. The 24-year-old was with 0.47 AWP kills per round statistically the best AWPer of 2020, ranked first in this metric and well ahead of the competition. syrsoN was also one of the best at opening duels, ranked as second for opening kills per round (0.15) and fourth for success rate (61.4%)
