Liquid swiftly secures win over BIG
No third map or overtimes required as Liquid takes first win at EPL.
The last game of the day had two CS:GO powerhouses going head to head. It was the Germans of BIG and the Americans of Team Liquid.
The match kicked off on BIG’s pick of Dust2, and it looked like a great pick for the Germans as they won the first five rounds. But then the fortune of the Germans ran dry, and Liquid flipped the script and took the rest of the rounds, resulting in a 10-5 half.
Not long after the break, the Americans found themselves on match point, and despite a valiant comeback effort from BIG, Liquid won map one 16-11.
The brawl continued on Liquid’s pick of Mirage where once again it was BIG that had the best start. But Liquid was never far behind, and the hot hand of “NAF” led the American squad to a slim 8-7 halftime lead.
The second half was just as close as the first, and after small runs from both teams, the score was tied at 12-12. This is when Liquid said goodbye to the players of BIG and took off on their own to claim the victory at 16-12.
