Liquid and NAVI win clear victories at ESL Pro League
Team Spirit, Astralis, and Team Liquid will play tomorrow for the last ticket to the playoff stage.
Group D of ESL Pro League Season 17 has been filled with surprises. But on Saturday there was no trace of any upsets.
NAVI started out by beating Team Spirit 16-14, 16-7. A good performance from the entire NAVI roster who looked solid. On both Anubis and Nuke it was the T-side of NAVI that made the difference. NAVI is through to the playoffs with the victory, while Team Spirit drops down to the Last Chance Stage, where they will face Astralis once again.
In the last match of the day Rare Atom was tasked with trying to repeat their opening victory against Team Liquid. But this time around the NA team came much better prepared. With a 16-7, 16-5 victory, they underlined the difference that was expected to be between the two teams. Latvian star Mareks 'YEKINDAR' Gaļinskis delivered a superb performance in the match that gives Liquid the opportunity to qualify for the playoffs tomorrow when they face the winner of Astralis vs Team Spirit.
