Complexity destroys Swedish Ninjas in BLAST opener
blameF delivered two astonishing CT-sides to guide his team to an important victory.
The reigning BLAST Premier Spring Final champions, Complexity, took an important step towards defending the title in their group opener against Ninjas in Pyjamas.
The Swedish Ninjas were considered favorites beforehand, but it didn't take long for the odds of a Complexity victory to plunge. The US-founded team quickly showed, that their Danish Duo, blameF, and k0nfig are extremely dangerous to face on Mirage. k0nfig took care of the T-side, while blameF popped off on CT. All while NIP's Dane, Nicolai "device" Reedtz was quiet, which made Complexity's dominance shine through.
On to the second map. Here NIP surprisingly had chosen Ancient. A pick that quickly came back to haunt them. On their T-side, everything went wrong. Again it was Benjamin "blameF" Bremer who was pivotal in the defense for Complexity. His stats after the first half left no doubt about who had won the first battle. blameF was 17-3 in K-D ratio!
Behind 3-12 at the break, it was an uphill battle to make a comeback for NIP. The Swedes did make an effort though. At 9-14 they had a good run going, but then lost a 5vs2 situation, which ended all hopes.
