BIG take down FaZe to secure quarter-finals

The winners' match of Group A saw BIG and FaZe square off in an epic Bo3. It took three maps, but in the end, BIG emerged victorious.

BIG did not get off to the start they wanted as they after four opening-round wins, went on a 14-2 losing streak against the stars of FaZe. Luckily BIG persevered and with 'faveN' on fire, the Germans went on a ten-to-nothing run, and just about stole the victory away from FaZe.

Coming off an extremely close and exciting map, the first half of Nuke lived up to expectations. It was as close as it could be after fifteen rounds as BIG led by one, even though 'rain' played a remarkable T side.
The second half was nowhere near as close as the first since FaZe came into their own on the CT side. The first six rounds of the half were split right down the middle, but the last six, and thus the map, belonged to FaZe.

On the deciding map of Overpass it was BIG that got off to the best start. The Germans looked powerful as they found an 8-2 lead, but the FaZe offense managed to find some rounds towards the end of the half making it a more competitive game at 9-6.
The second half was extremely close with the teams trading three-round streaks back and forth. Fortunately for BIG, that favored them as they were up by three at halftime, and an impressive T-side performance gave them the win on Overpass and in the series.
