BIG defeat Astralis in 5th place decider at Flashpoint 3
The profiled Germans end Flashpoint 3 on a high note as they batter Astralis 2-1.
The superstar Danes from Astralis conclude Flashpoint 3 with a disappointing loss, as they fall to a well-playing BIG side in the 5th place decider match. The win means that BIG grab the 1200 RMR point prize, while the Danes must settle with 1100 RMR points.
Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and his faithful disciples commenced the match rather slow, as they saw themselves down 1-0 in maps and behind 9-6 going into the switch on Dust2. However, with a clean turn-around, BIG managed to take matters into their own hands with a clean turn-around.
A 16-13 win on Dust2 catapulted BIG towards the surprising victory, which definitely wasn’t on the cards after their rather poor start. With that being said, it’s always the end that matters the most!
And with a strong showing on Vertigo, especially by syrsoN, the 2-1 victory was a reality and the Germans can see themselves end above strong teams like Vitality, Complexity, and their opponents from Astralis.
