apEX: "I want to be the best"
CS:GO pros on what motivates them to keep playing and becoming even better
Tournament organizers BLAST Premier have sat down with various different top-tier pros to discuss some questions from the community. One of the questions asked was regarding the pros' motivation to continue playing Counter-Strike and to compete at a high level of CS:GO.
When asked what motivates him to keep grinding and playing Counter-Strike the In-game Leader of Vitality Dan "apEX" Madesclaire answered:
"I want to win the major again. I want to be the best. The competition is what drives me every day."
For some pros, there are factors in addition to the achievements and trophies on the shelf. The Swedish rifler from Ninjas in Pyjamas Nicolas Gonzalez "Plopski" Zamora explains how his family is a major part of his ongoing motivation:
"My family is watching every game I play so it's fun to play, knowing that they are watching". In addition, he points to his competitive nature as a reason for his motivation to be the best and win games.
