ZywOo: s1mple was better than me this year
In an interview with Esports Kingdom, the Frenchman admitted that s1mple was the better CS:GO player this year.
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut who is one of the deadliest AWPers CS:GO has to offer, has accepted his defeat to the Ukrainian beast Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev this year.
In an interview with Esports Kingdom, the French AWPer was asked about his thoughts on his year so far and if he’s happy with how he has performed. ZywOo humbly admitted that the NAVI AWPer has been a better player than him this year, but is confident that he will improve in 2022 and play much better.
“Of course s1mple is better than me this year, but i had a bad year too. I’m going to do everything next year in 2022 to get better. I know this year was pretty hard with COVID, we have to play from home, it was really hard sometimes. For sure, s1mple was better than me this year, i have no problem saying it, but i want to play better in 2022 and that’s it.” - ZywOo - Interview with Esports Kingdom
The Ukrainian beast has won seven MVP awards so far, along with both the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and the Intel Grand Slam Season 13, and it has become quite clear that he has been the best-performing player this year.
Like a true sportsman, ZywOo acknowledged s1mple’s year and vowed to perform better in 2022. It will be interesting to see if the Frenchman can elevate his individual level when Vitality’s overhaul happens.
