Vitality win BLAST World Final 2023
The BLAST.tv Paris Major winners proved that they are the team to beat next year.
With a convincing 2-0 victory in the Grand Final of BLAST Premier World Final against FaZe, Team Vitality won the last S-Tier event of the year.
The Grand Final was hyped up to be a superb ending to 2023, but never reached the levels, that all Counter-Strike fans had hoped for. Instead, it was a one-way showing for Team Vitality with Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut in a spectacular mood. The French superstar went 38-19 in K-D in the Final to secure his team another big trophy in an incredible season for the French Organization. ZywOo also snatched the MVP title with an overall impressive performance.
The win solidifies Vitality as the best team of 2023 with wins at IEM Rio, BLAST.tv Paris Major, Gamers8 2023, BLAST Premier Fall Final, and the BLAST Premier World Final.
For FaZe the second place at the World Final was a good start to the new lineup with David "frozen" Čerňanský replacing Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Despite a shaky year for the Antwerp Major Champions, FaZe will be one of the favorites for the upcoming Major in Copenhagen with their ending of 2023 in mind.
