Vitality secure quarter-finals over FaZe
What a series between two of the world's best.
Vitality secured themselves a spot in the quarter-finals at EPL S17 after they took down FaZe 2-0. Starting the series off on Anubis, FaZe came out destroying ZywOo and co. With broky playing lights out on the T side, Vitality stood no chance as they got dominated 14-1 in the first half. As we all thought that FaZe would close out Anubis and just move on to the next map, Vitality started to put rounds on the board on the T side. First five in a row, then ten, and suddenly things were tied up at 15-15 as Vitality restarted the 14-1 on the T side. With the momentum in their favor, Vitality took the win on Anubis 19-16 despite being behind 14-1 after just 15 rounds of play.
Moving on to Nuke. Once again FaZe came out controlling the game on the T side. A quick 3-0 lead on the weaker side for FaZe ended up in a great CT side from Vitality who once again managed to make the comeback. Vitality won the first half 11-4 after winning 11 out of 12 possible. Similar to the first map, FaZe fought their way back to secure overtime. But, once again Vitality was the team to come out on top and win nuke 19-15 and the series 2-0.
