Vitality advance to PGL Major playoffs after beating Entropiq
ZywOo and company showed their class and dominance in the decider on Dust2.
The Frenchmen from Vitality has secured themselves a spot in the prestigious Champions Stage at PGL Stockholm Major, following their impressive 2-1 victory over Entropiq this Tuesday. The two teams came into the game with everything on the line, with the loser looking into elimination – a fate which Entropiq ended up in, despite a great showing against Vitality.
Entropiq began the series phenomenally as they managed to set up a solid 14-10 lead on Mirage through a stellar display by Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy who posted a 1.76 Rating / 18-7 K-D on the T-side. The Russians couldn’t maintain momentum, where an instrumental ace by Dan “apEX” Madesclaire kick-started a great comeback for Vitality to take first blood in the match.
After losing on their own map pick on Overpass, apEX and company stepped up once again. The Russian underdogs from Entropiq got caught in the well-oiled machine of Vitality, as they got dismantled 16-5 in the decider on Dust2.
The result means that Vitality joins the likes of Gambit, NAVI, G2, Heroic, and FURIA in the playoff stage, while Entropiq is set to go home empty-handed.
