Team Liquid start EPL with a 2-0 victory over NiP
The North American squad made quick work of the Ninjas taking the series 2-0!
Team Liquid secured a victory in their first match of ESL Pro League Season 14, defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0 on Inferno and Dust2. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski played a massive role in the victory and did the heavy lifting for his team, posting an overall rating of 1.75.

Team Liquid’s pick of Inferno got us started in this series, and it was a pick that went very well for FalleN’s troops. Starting on T-side Liquid stormed through NiP’s defense and raced to a 8-1 lead before NiP started to offer some resistance. The Ninjas got into the game late in the half and managed to add three rounds to the scoreboard before the half time whistle. In the beginning of second half, NiP started on the right foot and quickly lowered their deficit to only three rounds. However, Team Liquid began to stabilize their defense and found the formula to punish the NiP approach, taking the final for rounds to close out the map 16-9.
Dust2 held a similar story to that of the first map. The first half saw domination from the Team Liquid side as NiP failed to establish themselves as T. FalleN and company powered to a 12-3 CT-side half, with every single player from the squad delivering. NiP’s Dane did his best to inspire a comeback, but a Team Liquid victory was inevitable, the North American’s taking the map 16-10 in the end.
