Team Liquid decimate GODSENT
With all the stars of Liquid showing up to play GODSENT didn't stand a chance.
The last match of the day at EPL saw the North American powerhouse Team Liquid take on the Brazilian roster of GODSENT. Liquid came in with confidence after their convincing win versus BIG yesterday, while GODSENT was still looking for their first win after their slight loss to the Movistar Riders.
The Bo3 started on GODSENT’s map choice of Ancient, and the Brazilians got off to a relatively good start on the T-side as they picked up a couple of rounds and were pressuring Team Liquid heavily. But as almost all teams playing Ancient T-side they were struggling terribly to pick up rounds consistently, which led to a convincing 11-4 lead for the North Americans at halftime.
Behind by seven rounds, GODSENT was in dire need of some good fortune, but unfortunately for them Liquid kept their momentum and took every round after the break, resulting in a dominating 16-4 win on the first map.
The second map of the series was Liquid’s pick of Dust2 and once again GODSENT actually got off to a pretty good start going up 4-2 on the CT-side. This is when Liquid turned up the heat and really started to bully their opponents. What had started extremely promising for the Brazilians quickly became a dark scenario where they were down 10-5 at halftime.
GODSENT kept struggling after the break, and other than some good individual plays from “b4rtiN” there really wasn’t a lot to write home about for them. Team Liquid won Dust2 at 16-6.
