tabseN: Heroic is much more comfortable online
We talked with the in-game leader from BIG about the important placement match against Heroic tomorrow.
BIG will have to beat either Heroic, FaZe, or OG to qualify for the Major in Stockholm. That was the result after five days of hectic bo1's at IEM Fall Europe.
The German team had hoped for a playoff spot but was brushed aside by the sensational Copenhagen Flames, who took everybody by surprise with their 5-0 run leaving only one other playoff spot in Group A. BIG could not match G2 though, and had to win a thriller tiebreaker against FunPlus Phoenix and mousesports to qualify for the 9-12th place decider.
Here they will face Heroic in the first match, where a win will guarantee them a spot at the Major in Stockholm later this month.
- I believe we have very good chances playing against Heroic. On LAN it is different than online, Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz says in a press conference before the match tomorrow.
Asked directly what the difference between Heroic online vs LAN is, the German in-game leader elaborated.
- I believe that they play much more comfortably online. They are also a good LAN team, but I believe that players on LAN punish more mistakes. I think they play really aggressively, so if we are able to also hit our shots and be on the same page, I think we can beat them, the BIG captain explains.
If BIG loses the match, they will have another shot at qualifying in a match against the loser of FaZe vs OG.
