Stewie2K: "I'm trying to assess what's best for me"
Jake "Stewie2K" Yip touches on the recent loss at BLAST and his upcoming future
There have been many rumors flying around about an upcoming roster change in the Team Liquid camp. Previously the North American superstar in "EliGE" confirmed that things are about to change within the Team Liquid camp. Today we talked with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip about the future of Liquid, as well as his own, after their recent loss at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 event.
When asked about the upcoming changes to the Liquid roster and how it is currently affecting him and his teammates at Liquid, "Stewie2K" answered the following:
"For what to come for us right now, in the moment it is hard to change the pattern. For me, in order to change the pattern you have to change the environment and change the atmosphere and for us; what is going to change is how the environment changes. That is what is going to change the pattern for Liquid's future. Right now we are just trying to play loose and have fun with it."
When asked about his own future and the possibility of joining a European organization as a result of the upcoming changes within Liquid the North American rifler expressed a willingness to test other options and try to find the best fit for himself:
"Right now I'm just seeing what comes my way, trying to assess what is best for me. I am also trying to live a little healthier and to live in a healthy environment. I am trying to do what is best for me, it could be anything honestly, it could be streaming, it could be anything. I love competing, I'm a competitor at heart - we'll see where it takes me."
What's to come for "Stewie2K" and the rest of his current teammates at Team Liquid is still unsure, however, something is definitely going to change in the near future. Stay tuned for more information about Liquid and their upcoming roster changes.
