s1mple behind NAVI comeback to set up CIS Grand Final
NAVI won a three-map thriller against Heroic at DreamHack Masters Spring.
Natus Vincere is back! The CIS team bestet Heroic after three exciting maps, where the two teams gave each other a huge brawl!
On Mirage the two teams traded rounds during the first half, breaking each other's economy by constantly winning eco-rounds. But after the break, there was only one team on the server. While s1mple and Perfecto were putting in the numbers, the rest of the Natus Vincere roster went -31 in K-D. Heroic ended up winning comfortably 16-11.
The fight went on to Nuke. At the powerplant, it started similarly. This time though, s1mple had help from both Boombl4 and electronic to make the match much more even. As the second map evolved, NAVI started to heat up. All of a sudden cadiaN had gone silent, while electronic once again proved instrumental for the CIS team. In the end, it was the biggest star of them all, s1mple, who had to find one of his classic clutch-plays to save the map for NAVI, who was close to throwing a big lead overboard.
Inferno was the setting for the decider. A fitting place to determine the brawl. For the third map in a row the two rosters kept each other on a tight leash. At 4-5 in favor of NAVI, the Russian team once again got eco'ed by Heroic. A turnaround in the match that left s1mple and company with a devastating economy. The Danes won the first half 9-6.
After the break momentum had shifted. Now it was NAVI on the CT-side, that managed to quiet the Danish roster. In a very tight ending to the match, Natus Vincere kept their cool and won the map and match after an entertaining game of Counter-Strike.
