OG eliminate Cloud9 from Flashpoint 2-0
OG knock Cloud9 out of Flashpoint 2 as they close out the elimination match 2-0.
The “Colossus” is out of the running for a playoff spot, as they lost their second straight match to OG in tonight’s elimination game, while OG is through to Group C’s consolidation final.
OG won on Nuke (22-18) and Mirage (16-10) where Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen was the best player on the server which resulted in a 1.63 rating, 110.7 ADR, and a 68-35 score.
The general manager of Cloud9 is still optimistic about the lineup and thinks the team will grow stronger over time. This is what he had to say after the match:
“Only diehard CS:GO fans will understand the potential of this lineup. I’m still reading cynical comments about our Rookies and honestly, it just makes me smile. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve put together in just over a month.” Henry “HenryG” Greer explained.
Cloud9 will be looking forward to their next tournament that is in less than ten days at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown where they will face a stacked field that includes Liquid, FURIA, and FaZe.
OG will need to beat Gen.G in the consolidation final on Friday to make it to the playoffs.
