NiKo: NIP is not a title contender team
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač did not hold back, as he gave his opinion on Ninjas in Pyjamas before the semi-final clash between G2 and NIP.
In Stockholm, Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 will once again face each other in a playoff match, when the two rosters go head to head on Saturday at IEM Winter.
Today the online press conference before the playoffs was held. Here Nikola "NiKo" Kovač gave some straightforward answers when asked about the NIP roster.
- I think they are a very good team, but I don't think they are a title contender team. I think they lack a lot of experience to create an era or start winning more trophies. dev1ce is the only one that has the experience, the Bosnian said.
NiKo also commented on the recent roster change at the Swedish Ninjas, where Patrick "es3tag" Hansen has been brought in to replace Linus "LNZ" Holtäng.
- He is obviously a really good all-around player, who can help them a lot. But I heard that they have a lot of issues with communication, so I guess it is going to take a while for them to get used to talking a bit of English and Swedish. But what I don't like is, that I heard from es3tag when he joined, that he thought, they would immediately be the best team in the world. I think that is a bit cocky. I think it takes a bit longer to become the best team in the world. But we will see, I think it is going to be a good game on Saturday, and I hope we beat them.
In the video below, you can also see, who NiKo thinks is the best Swedish player right now.
