NAF confirms talks with EG before extending contract
In an interview with Pley.gg, the Canadian rifler talked about why he ended up signing a new contract with Team Liquid.
One of the few certainties about Team Liquid's CS:GO roster in 2022 is Keith "NAF" Markovic being part of it. The Canadian extended his contract last month with the North Americans. It is still unknown who will join him, but according to the Team Liquid rifler, fans of the Organization can begin to look forward to the new year.
- I know that with what is going on at Team Liquid right now, the fans and everybody should be very excited for us for the next year with our new team.
In an interview with Pley.gg, the 24-year-old rifler also revealed, that he was actually exploring his options before renewing the contract.
- Initially, I was exploring and looking at other options that the news outlets were rumored, that I was looking into joining Evil Geniuses potentially. But there were some things that fell through, that I didn't really like and appreciate, and Liquid also gave me a good offer to stay, and at the end of the day, I think Liquid is honestly the best Organization that I ever represented, the Canadian explained.
When asked what didn't work out for him in the talks with Evil Geniuses, the Team Liquid rifler said.
- We kind of set up a project that I wanted to create with a specific individual player on EG. But I guess that in the end, EG was not too much of a fan of it, so in the end, I wanted to stay with Liquid, because also Liquid did propose a really good roster, which I am very confident in.
