Liquid eliminates Heroic in upset victory at ESL Pro League
A brilliant performance from Team Liquid sees them through to the Quarter-Finals
NA CS is back! Team Liquid delivered one of the first highlights from a North American team in 2022 with a superb victory against Heroic in the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 15.
On Ancient it was on their CT side, that Team Liquid made all the difference. In the second half, Liquid won all ten rounds to lock in their own map pick 16-9.
The Danes from Heroic had a difficult time on the offense throughout the match. On Vertigo the struggles continued. Team Liquid took map control time and time again, which left Heroic in a bad state down 4-11 at the break. Heroic won five rounds in a row in the second half to put the pressure back on the North Americans, but quickly Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella and his men found the right setup to deny the Danes the comeback. A superb showing from Team Liquid who looks like a dark horse for the title in Düsseldorf.
Team Liquid will now face Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Quarter-Finals of ESL Pro League.
